Privacy Policy — Coordi

In short: Coordi has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party trackers. It does not collect personal information. The only data that leaves your device is your location coordinates, sent to the Open-Meteo weather service solely to fetch the forecast for the place you are viewing. Everything else is computed and stored on your device.

This policy explains what data the Coordi app (the “App”) accesses, how it is used, and your choices. By using the App you agree to this policy.

What the App uses

• Location (approximate and precise). Used to: detect your current location (only when you choose to), and compute Sun/Moon/eclipse, day-length, time-zone and weather information, plus the live speed/distance tracking feature. Location is processed on your device, with one exception below (weather).
• Saved locations. Places you save are stored only locally on your device. They are never uploaded to us. Uninstalling the App removes them.

What is sent off your device

To show weather, the App sends the latitude and longitude of the location you are viewing to Open-Meteo, an independent weather API, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. This is used only to return the forecast for that location. We do not operate a server and do not store these coordinates. Open-Meteo’s handling of requests is governed by their own terms and privacy information. No other data is transmitted anywhere.

What the App does NOT do

• No user accounts or sign-in.
• No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
• No analytics, telemetry, crash-reporting, or usage tracking.
• No selling or sharing of personal data for advertising or marketing.
• No collection of contacts, photos, messages, files, or financial information.

Permissions

• Location — optional. The App works without it: you can search the built-in offline city database or enter a location manually. Granting it enables “use my current location” and live speed/distance tracking. You can deny or revoke it at any time in your device settings.
• Notifications / foreground service — used to show the ongoing notification required by Android while live speed/distance tracking is running.
• Internet — used only for the weather request described above.

Data retention

All app data (settings and saved locations) lives only on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App. We hold no personal data on any server, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf.

Children

Coordi is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
